Our Leadership

Originally from Northwest Florida, Brother Kevin came to us after pastoring churches in Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, he studied at the University of West Florida, The Baptist College of Florida, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. As he grew up with a rural/agrarian background, Brother Kevin loves the outdoors. Happily married since the late 90s, Brother Kevin and his wife have been blessed with a large and loving family.

Brother Scott is a graduate of Furman University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He came to Union after serving churches in Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. His musical tastes extend into every genre as long as the songs are theologically sound. He and his wife, Nancy, have been married since the mid-1980s and have two cats that they dearly love, Marbles and Lily. Brother Scott's favorite scripture passage is Ephesians 2:4-5: "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,  made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved."

Though raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Brother Grant came to Union from the Washington, D.C., area where he had been working in the field of journalism. A graduate of the University of North Florida, he is finishing his Masters of Arts in Apologetics at Houston Christian University. He loves the outdoors and his interests are wide–including theology, history (especially ancient history related to the biblical text), and science. As the kids in Children’s Church know: Grant loves questions–both asking them and answering them.

Jana has been a member of UBC since January 2002. She has worked at Union Baptist Early Education since August 2003 and was promoted to Director in 2017.  Jana and her husband Dan “Wally” have been married since the mid-90s and have two daughters, Hannah and Summer.

Originally from Monroe, Georgia, Rebecca–known as “Becca”–has been living in Winder for more than five years. She is happily married with a wonderful little boy. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and 2  cats, listening to music, singing, and watching her favorite TV shows. Becca is excited to be a part of the Union family and can't wait to see where this adventure takes her!

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Peggy moved to Georgia in 1988 and has been a member of UBC since the mid-90s. A graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham, she worked in the Advertising and Publishing arm of the Bell System and associated companies for 45 years. She is a mother of three precious children: Dr. Emily Bryant, Officer Kristen Bryant, and David Bryant who lives now with Jesus in heaven. Peggy is retired and enjoys reading, swimming, football (Roll Tide!) and, of course, music.
